  • What do I need to wear?
Whilst our paints are water based and non-toxic we recommend you wear old clothes or bring an apron.
  • Do I need to book for hand and foot prints?
To get that perfect hand or footprint you need a couple of spare hands and it is recommended that you book one day in advance. Please note that during busy school holidays we regret that we may be unable to assist with baby prints.
  • How long does a session take?
Most sessions last 1.5 to 2 hours, but feel free to take your time—there’s no rush.

Your pottery will be ready for pick-up in 7 days after glazing and firing.
  • Are you open in the evening?
We run evening classes throughout the year. Check out our special events page for more details. You might like to book a group table and bring some nibbles and BYO drinks. It’s a great way relax and catch up with friends and family.

  • Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We welcome artists of all ages and provide special kid-friendly pottery options and tools.
  • What ages are suitable for children to paint?
Children under the age of 6 will most likely need to be assisted by their parent or guardian. It’s a great activity to share with the little ones so make sure you book yourself a seat too.

Choose a piece of pottery from our collection, select your paints, and start creating! After your session, we glaze and fire your piece, making it food-safe and ready for use.
  • Will my piece be dishwasher safe?

  • What happens if I cancel my booking?
Implementing a policy where booking fees are transferable but non-refundable for out-of-hours events is a strategic approach to ensure the sustainability of such events. This policy underscores the importance of staffing, which is a critical component for the success of any event. By staffing according to the number of bookings, event organizers can efficiently allocate resources, ensuring that each event is well-managed and enjoyable for all attendees. Moreover, the transferability of booking fees offers flexibility, allowing participants to pass on their booking to someone else if they cannot attend, thus maintaining the event's viability and attendee satisfaction.
  • How much does it cost?
All our ceramics are individually priced, starting from $6 for a small item like a pendant, $15 for medium plates and bowls and larger items up to $100. CMP also charges a $10 studio fee per person per day. The fee covers the cost of the paints, stickers, sponges, brushes and glaze and firing of your pieces. This fee applied to all people including non-painters.
